As we build out our new church home and expand our ministries, we are believing for wave after wave of impact in our region and beyond. Through 100% participation, we’re not just raising resources—we’re releasing a movement.
Zion Church was born out of a God-given dream in the hearts of our Pastors Jon and Tayren Krist—to see people in San Clemente and beyond experience the life-changing love of Jesus. In 2019, what began as a small prayer gathering quickly grew into a passionate launch team of 100 people. On January 26, 2020, Zion held its very first Sunday service at Shorecliffs Middle School, where over 700 people gathered and 22 made the decision to follow Jesus.
Since that day, we’ve seen thousands encounter Christ, leaders rise into their God-given purpose, and our church family mobilized to serve the hurting through foster care, adoption, city outreach, and global missions. But with over 90% of South Orange County still disconnected from a life-giving church, our mission is just beginning. We believe the future is bright, and the best is yet to come.

Our Church Home
We’re stepping into an exciting new season as we prepare for our future church home — a space designed to serve and grow our Zion family for years to come. Through our NEW WAVES fundraising initiative, we’re inviting you to partner with us in faith and generosity as we raise funds to establish a permanent home for all that God is doing through Zion. This new space will include a Worship Room that hosts powerful Sunday gatherings and weekly prayer nights, vibrant Zion Kids classrooms designed for fun, safety, and spiritual growth, and dedicated areas for Zion U, where students can encounter God and build lasting community. We’re also planning a home for Equip 210, our leadership and discipleship track, as well as rooms for Equipping Nights that pour into every generation. Outside, the parking lot and community gathering spaces will provide areas for connection, hospitality, and outreach. Every gift brings us one step closer to seeing this vision come to life.
Revival isn’t a moment—it’s a movement. God is stirring fresh waves of His Spirit, and we believe He is calling us to make way for more. Just as waves never stop crashing upon the shore, we are believing for wave after wave of God’s presence, power, and transformation—both now and for generations to come.
This is our time to prepare and position ourselves for what God is doing. Through bold faith, sacrificial generosity, and a deep hunger for His glory, we are building something that will carry His presence beyond today—impacting lives, families, and the future of the Church.

Hear The Vision

Host excellent and engaging spaces for Kid’s Ministry and Midweek Youth Ministry for High School and Middle School Students.
Provide Warm and Inviting Outdoor Courtyard Spaces for community connection.
Launch Zion U in Fall 2025 - Our Ministry and Leadership Training School for ages 18-30.
Launch Equip 210 Fall 2025 - Our Kindergarten—12th grade Kingdom Educational Program
